mFurc

To use mFurc, you'll need Mac OS X 10.5.6 Leopard running on a PowerPC G4, PowerPC G5, or Intel processor.

NOTE: Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger is no longer supported. mFurc requires Mac OS X 10.5.6 Leopard or newer to run.

I started mFurc because I had an iBook G4 and a Furcadia account. It's a simple concept, really. Rebuild a Windows-only online game, from the ground up, with almost no knowledge of the internals of that game. Make it completely cross-compatible with all the user-created content for that game. Reverse-engineer and recreate all the content creation tools that come with the game. And make it feel like it belongs right there on Mac OS X.

But I wasn't done with just copying. I added brand-new features. Some of them are planned for Furcadia, but aren't available yet; others will never make it onto Windows. And I added them all while remaining completely backwards-compatible with users on the original Windows client software.

Of course, this isn't anything official from Dragon's Eye Productions, and I don't get paid for it. That's why I ask politely for a donation. I've got web hosting and Internet access bills to pay, so donating will help offset the costs of keeping mFurc updated.
